Eid Announcement

Alhamdulillah, The moon has been sighted at different places around the world. EPMA community will be celebrating Eid tomorrow Tuesday June 4th.

InshaAllah, the Masjid will be open at 8:00AM and the Eid prayer will begin promptly at 9:00AM.

Logistics: Brothers will pray in the upper hall, while sisters will pray in lower-level prayer hall.

Breakfast: There will be light refreshments served. If anyone would like to bring any food or drink items, they are welcome to.

Volunteers:  We need volunteers for traffic management, and general help. If you are able to volunteer, please arrive by 8:00 am.

Parking: Please carpool and arrive early as there will be limited street parking.

Use EPMA parking lots first and cooperate with the volunteers. Do NOT park illegally.

“May Allah reward those who have sponsored the Ramadan activities and the volunteers who make them happen!”

Important Points:

1) Zakat-al-Fitr is $10/person: you can donate at epmaonline.org. Please make sure to pay today so it can be distributed in time.

2) Attire: we request all brothers and sisters to respect the fact that the Eid prayer is being held in a Masjid and to dress accordingly.  For example, brothers should not be attending the prayer wearing shorts that will expose their awrah and sisters should not wear perfume to the Masjid.

It is mustahabb to recite takbeer during the night of Eid from sunset on the last day of Ramadaan until the imam comes to lead the prayer. The format of the takbeer is as follows:

Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar,

laa ilaaha ill-Allaah,

Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, wa Lillaahi’l-hamd

(Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, there is no god except Allah, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great , Allah is Most Great, and all praise be to Allah)

The Easton Phillipsburg Muslim Association (EPMA) is a non profit 501c(3) organization, serving religious, educational and social needs of the Muslim community in Easton, Phillipsburg and surrounding areas.

Renovation Project

FrontViewAlhamdulillah we have completed several projects in the masjid since the last fundraiser. These include the installation of a new roof, repaving both parking lots, conversion of boiler from oil to gas, Free Clinic renovations, and several other smaller projects. Aside from critical tasks like the repair of the bell-tower, we also replaced the floor in the upper hall. InshaAllah next we need to construct wudu are for sisters and remodeling the kitchen. We appreciate your continual support.
